Lil Man J is a 21-year-old artist from Clover, South Carolina who has recently moved to Nashville. He began making music on GarageBand at age 13, and he started releasing music on DSP’s at age 15. J had his first huge viral moment as a rapper right when he was 16 with “Cap Freestyle.” In spring of 2024 he wrote and released his first country song “Whiskey For The Wine” which went viral and has garnered over 50 million streams.
“Sippin Country” came out in May 2025 and was an immediate viral hit that has earned close to 50 million streams and which many fans called the “song of the summer.”
Lil Man J has a totally unique and distinctive voice which you immediately recognize and can’t ever forget. As industry professionals have admiringly commented, J delivers genuine emotion and authenticity in all his vocal performances. Lil Man J co-writes all his songs, both lyrics and melodies, and he has even played guitar, piano and harmonica on some recordings. In addition, Lil Man J has become a dynamic performer who always leaves the audience happy and wanting more.
J has accomplished all this as a completely independent artist. What also sets J apart is the fact that he has four major disabilities including bilateral club feet and distal arthrogryposis. J has turned these to his advantage. For example, he learned how to play guitar despite not having joints in his fingers. J is a superstar in the making with a very compelling narrative.
